CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville community continues to rally around the family of a Fort Campbell soldier critically injured in a motorcycle crash on Fort Campbell Blvd. August 20.
Nick Sprowl, a soldier with the 101st HHC Sustainment Brigade at Fort Campbell who returned from active duty in March, is being treated in the trauma unit at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The driver, 79-year old Nell Phillips, has been charged with failure to use reasonable care for pulling out of the Rural King parking lot in the path of Sprowl’s oncoming bike.
Sprowl’s wife Stephanie has been giving regular updates on his condition on Facebook.

Sprowl said doctors have confirmed that Nick has suffered brain damage on his frontal lobe and remains in critical condition.
She expressed thanks to the community for the outpouring of support. A GoFundMe account established by The Iron Rockets motorcycle club has raised just over $4,000 as of Thursday morning. The funds will help with daily expenses and travel as she takes time off work to be by his side and to care for their five children.
In addition to monetary donations, supporters have also offered to provide day care for the children.
