CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The smell of kettle corn, Jamaican jerk chicken and dogs on the grill will fill the air once again at the Clarksville Speedway while thousands of shoppers wheel and deal at the Clarksville Flea Market.

What started out as an annual event has proven to be so popular it will now be held on three dates this spring.

The first date will be April 11th and is presented by Beaver 100.3. Gates will open at 7:00 and close at 3:00.  Typically there are around 200 vendors selling anything and everything from antiques to vinyl to handmade soap.

“This is a great opportunity for those people who need to clean out their attic or closets to present their items to a much larger number of potential buyers than if they held a yard sale,” said event coordinator Mandy Whyte to Clarksvillenow.com.

“Shoppers looking for a great bargain, cool decorative item, or just an interesting place to walk and have a good lunch, it doesn’t get any better then this!” Whyte said.

The event will also be held on May 9th and June 13th.

Some of the booths will be inside an open-air building.  Space is limited to 200 vendors, on a first come first served basis with prices starting at just $50 for the day.

Admission is free, parking is $5 with a portion of proceeds going to The Red River Sirens, a non-profit roller derby team.
