ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. – A body was found in the Cumberland River near the 3000 block of River Rd. in Ashland City Saturday afternoon.

WKRN News 2 reports that fishermen spotted the body around 3 p.m.

The person found is described as a black male between 30 and 40 years old with a tattoo on his chest that says “never forget.” Police have not confirmed his identity.

Investigators believe the man’s body was in the water for a while before being found, and foul play may have been involved. An autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death.
