CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – As part of their ongoing safety training offered to the campus community and public, Austin Peay State University police officers are offering active shooter defense training sessions on campus beginning Thursday, March 15.
All sessions are free and open to the public.
Classes will take place in the Sundquist Science Complex, room 106A, starting Thursday, March 15, from 5-7 p.m., with additional classes being offered Sunday, March 18, from noon-2 p.m., 2-4 p.m. and 4-6 p.m.
The class will provide realistic safety tips, an overview of self-defense devices and discuss “what if” scenarios if an active shooter is in your location. The sessions are designed to teach all ages.
