OAK GROVE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The 9th Annual Butterfly Festival will be held on Saturday, September 23 at War Memorial Walking Trail Park, 101 Walter Garrett Lane, Oak Grove, Ky.

The event is free and features science experiments, kids crafts, bubble zone, face painting, train rides, and more. The butterfly release at 4 p.m. will include more than 1,200 butterflies.

Come and interact with live butterflies in their habitat in the Butterfly House or let the Master Gardeners take you on a tour of the beautiful Butterfly Garden.

The only festival of its kind in the State of Kentucky, the Oak Grove Tourism Butterfly Festival is one of the most popular events in the region.

There are free, nature focused arts and crafts for the children to create and take home.

The festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pets and coolers are not permitted.
