ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (WKRN) – One man is recovering from an injury after a house fire near Ashland City Monday morning.

Firefighters responded to the house fire near Cheatham Dam Road, northwest of Downtown Ashland City, around 4:30 a.m.

Fire officials said it appears to be suspicious.

One person was inside the home when the fire occurred and was treated for minor injuries on the scene. Medics took the man to a local hospital for evaluation.

The house is considered a complete loss.

Officials said they had a difficult time controlling the fire, as the nearest hydrant was miles away.

Fire crews told News 2 they expected to spend several hours investigating.
