2551 Church Ln

Oakwood Freewill Baptist Church at 2551 Church Lane in Woodlawn will be hosting its 2nd Annual Yard Sale on Saturday April 26 from 8am-2pm. This event is to raise funds for the Church’s Vacation Bible School program and new playground equipment. Members of the church will be offering gently used clothing, shoes, toys, home goods, electronics, books, and much more for sale.

The yard sale will take place rain or shine as it will be held indoors in the Oakwood Family Outreach building. “You never know what treasures you will find in a yard sale of this size. We look forward to seeing the community come out to our church and find ‘new’ things to take home and enjoy,” said Mary Barry this year’s yard sale co-chair. Barry says church members will also be offering “complimentary refreshments” for shoppers while they last.

Pastor Dwayne James was quoted as saying “Our Ladies Ministry is very active in supporting local and global ministries. Now the focus is on fund raising for our Church’s VBS in June and for new playground equipment for the church grounds. I encourage everyone to come out and support us while finding great bargains for yourselves. We look forward to seeing you there!”
