CLARKSVILLE, TN – The YMCA of Montgomery County’s School Age Services team has proven once again that when our community comes together, amazing things happen. In honor of October being Combat Hunger Month, our dedicated staff, parents, and students joined forces to make a difference — and together, we collected over 1,300 pounds of food for families in need through our Manna Café food drive initiative.

As the new Program Operations Director, I could not be more proud of our staff and families. Their generosity and teamwork reflect the true spirit of the YMCA — neighbors helping neighbors. With so much negativity in the world, it’s refreshing and inspiring to see our community focus on something positive and life changing. These food donations will help fill pantries and bring hope to many homes across Montgomery County.

At the YMCA, we believe in building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities. Our School Age Services Program provides safe, nurturing, and enriching before- and after-school care for children throughout the county. Through programs like this, we don’t just care for kids — we cultivate compassion, leadership, and community responsibility.
