CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Precious Friends Puppy Rescue and the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery Co. are joining forces to prepare a giant indoor Yard Sale at a building recently donated by Singletary Construction at 20 Barker St.
Funds are being raised for building renovations at the new location, which will serve as the future home of Precious Friends Puppy Rescue, a non-profit organization that has been rescuing puppies in the Clarksville community since 1992.
The sale will be held Friday and Saturday, December 14 and 15, from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m., and Sunday, December 16 from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. at the Barker Street location.
Precious Friends is undergoing reorganization after receiving news that long-time funding from North Shore Animal League America would terminate at the end of this year in addition to notice of a rent increase. When Humane Society Executive Director Amy Shaver heard that Precious Friends was in trouble, she reached out to fellow animal lovers to see if a core group could be formed to save the organization.
As part of the reorganization effort, Precious Friends plans to greatly increase local adoptions that will expand to include the rescue and adoption of kittens in addition to puppies.
Financial contributions towards building renovations can be made online.
