CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Team Clarksville Cystic Fibrosis Events hosted the 2013 CFF Yard Sale Aug. 3 at the Clarksville Speedway & Fairgrounds. Shoppers were able to find deals from yard sale vendors, crafters, and local vendors.
Lunch was provided by Julene – everything from hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks to curry chicken & rice – and an endless supply of homemade desserts.
Over $1,300 was raised for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The CFF is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis and funds more CF research than any other organization, and nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of Foundation support. A nonprofit donor-supported organization dedicated to attacking cystic fibrosis from every angle, the focus is to support the development of new drugs to fight the disease, improve the quality of life for those with CF, and ultimately to find a cure.
“Every penny donated is a breath you give and hope for a tomorrow for all of us with cystic fibrosis. We are kids, daughters, sons, wives, husbands, and some of us are moms and dads. Finding a cure for CF isn’t just about us, it’s about all the people who support and love us also,” said Alisha Brown , a Clarksville mom with CF.
