CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Wyatt Johnson Toyota celebrated their new location at 2595 Wilma Rudolph Blvd. with an Open House and Ribbon Cutting on October 23.
Employees, officials and members of the community enjoyed live music, food, spirits and prizes at the event.
Dealer Principal Katherine Cannata, General Manager Bill Powers and General Manager of the Toyota Cincinnati Region Scott Wracher all spoke to the crowd gathered for the ribbon cutting.
Kimberly Rosenbaum, Advanced Placement student and winner of a new car at the 2014 CMCSS and Wyatt Johnson Pass and Go Event, was present as Powers presented Director of Schools, Dr. B.J. Worthington, with a $5,000 check for the continuing education of local AP teachers.
Both Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett and City of Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan were also present. Durrett recognized the Johnson family for their support of the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System, the community, and active duty military in the area. McMillan also thanked the family for bringing the dealership to the city, saying, “people like you have made this community the greatest place to live, work and raise our families.”
Cannata talked about the features of the 42,000-square-foot facility, which include 18 service bays with equipment to speed up processes such as oil changes, a lounge complete with a fireplace, and an Indoor Customer Delivery Area that allows customers to wait for their cars inside the facility. “We put a lot of effort into making it feel Like Clarksville,” she said.
Cannata also said that Wyatt Johnson has now been in business 68 years, and is named after her grandfather and Henry Wyatt and her father Sidney Johnson. Wyatt originally started the business in 1946.
