CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Wyatt Johnson Subaru showed its support for the F.U.E.L. program in Clarksville-Montgomery County with a donation Friday, April 15. Subaru donated $13,193 as part of their Share the Love event for the local community.

Bill Powers, Managing Partner with Wyatt Johnson said Subaru allows local dealerships to choose the nonprofit they would like to support. “This year we have picked the F.U.E.L. organization and all of the money raised through the sale of Subaru’s goes directly to the F.U.E.L. program,” said Powers.

The amount of money that is given to the chosen nonprofit organization through the Share the Love event is based on sales. It is $250 per car of which Wyatt Johnson pays $125 and Subaru corporate pays $125.

The F.U.E.L. program is a collaboration between churches and Clarksville-Montgomery County schools as a food subsidization program designed to feed children through the weekend whose only food source may be the food they receive at school.

The founder of F.U.E.L., Denise Skidmore, talked about the donation from Wyatt Johnson Subaru. I greatly appreciate the donation, it will help a lot in meeting the needs of children who are still on waiting lists in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System.
