CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Bobby Powers, Principal Broker for PenFed Realty, recently organized a deer hunting trip for children of soldiers in the Fort Campbell Warrior Transition Battalion.
Ten kids, three girls and seven boys ranging in age from 11-17, and their parents were invited to a farm owned by Powers during the weekend of Oct. 24-25. The group enjoyed a picnic and hunting lessons before setting out at 5 a.m. on Saturday morning to shoot deer.
Powers talked about the event, saying it was “a good opportunity for fellowship” with the military families, who have contributed much to the Clarksville community. Because of the success of the trip, he hopes to make it an annual tradition for the children of local wounded warriors.
The event was sponsored by Atkins Homes and Providence Builders.
