CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – We are in for a wet and stormy week, with two rounds of weather bringing a total of 4 to 5 inches of rain in just a few days.
“Currently the corridor of heaviest rainfall amounts looks to be across the northern portions of the mid state region as Tuesday progresses,” according to the National Weather Service. “There may be a brief lull in rainfall on Wednesday. However, another round of heavy rainfall is expected to arrive Wednesday night and last through at least Thursday night, with the heaviest rainfall amounts expected Thursday night.”
“Soil moisture continues to remain relative high especially across northern portions of mid state region. Due to this rainfall potentially causing additional rises on rivers, several rivers across the area could reach action if not flood stage as the week progresses. Flash flooding could also be possible,” the NWS said.
