CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A hot and humid week is ahead for the Clarksville area, with daily chances for showers and thunderstorms and temperatures climbing into the lower 90s by midweek.

Rain and storm chances will be highest Monday and Tuesday before becoming more scattered later in the week, according to the National Weather Service.

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible, and a Flood Watch from the NWS is in effect for Montgomery and surrounding counties from Monday morning through Monday evening.

“Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations,” the NWS said. “Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.”
