CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The week will start with extreme heat, with indexes topping 112. But there’s an increasing chance of thunderstorms, and temperatures should drop to the mid-80s by Friday.

A Heat Advisory has been issued through Wednesday at 8 p.m.; hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses, according to the National Weather Service.

“Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening,” the NWS said. “Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.”
