CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – With high temperatures around 95 and a heat index as high as 106, a Heat Advisory is in effect through Monday at 7 p.m. for Montgomery and surrounding counties.

“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” the National Weather Service said. “Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.”

Saturday’s high in Clarksville was just shy of 92 degrees from 3-6 p.m., with the heat index reaching 103.

Highs in the mid-90s will continue all week, so expect more heat alerts each day.
