CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Police are asking for public assistance to find a suspect who withdrew $8,000 in cash from a bank account not belonging to her.
According to Clarksville Police, the suspect used a false ID which had the victim’s personal information with the suspect’s photo.
The woman used the false ID to withdraw $8,000 from the victim’s bank account in two transactions. Both transactions occurred at different locations in Clarksville. One transaction was for $5,000 and another for $3,000.
The victim resides in Illinois, but the transactions occurred in Clarksville. Clarksville Police have not determined how the suspect was able to capture the victim’s personal information.
