CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A woman successfully helped a friend avoid danger in Clarksville.
The driver of a vehicle was backing down the driveway of a residence in the 100 block of Whitehall Rd. Wednesday when the vehicle went off the edge of the driveway, which has a 40 foot drop.
A friend of the driver and resident of the home, Dilza Hicks, immediately took action by shoving rocks underneath the tires of the vehicle while the driver pressed on the brakes.
They were able to keep the vehicle in place until officers arrived with a wrecker to pull the driver and vehicle to safety.
CPD wishes to recognize Hicks for her “quick and selfless actions” to ensure the safety of another person.
