CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A woman has been sentenced to serve eight years in prison after she pleaded guilty to a DUI crash that killed a 77-year-old woman.
According to court records, 23-year-old Megan Delaney Stelly pleaded guilty this week in court to one count of DUI and one count of vehicular homicide.
Stelly was driving on Riverside Dr. on January 20, 2015 with a child in her vehicle. She was under the influence of alcohol and caused a crash that resulted in the death of 77-year-old Jo Ann Cothran.
She received sentences of eight years for vehicular homicide and 11 months and 29 days for DUI, which will run concurrently.
