HOUSTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – Investigators with the Tennessee Highway Patrol say the woman killed in a crash in Houston County Wednesday afternoon was not wearing a seat belt.
According to the crash report from the THP, Lisa Damesworth, 51, of McEwen was killed when her car left State Highway 13 and overturned near Erin.
The report state that Damesworth’s Mazda RX8 crossed the center line, drove off the left side of the highway, hit a ditch and some trees and overturned.
The medical examiner was alerted to the deadly crash.
The report suggests a seat belt might have made a difference in this crash.
