NASHVILLE, Tenn. -A woman was arrested Friday after she allegedly threw hot chicken grease on a child.
WKRN News 2 reports that the incident occurred in a parking lot near 5th street and Shelby Avenue when two women got into a physical altercation.
A witness reported Tiana Anderson, 19, ran into a home where chicken was frying in the kitchen and poured some of the hot grease into a coffee mug.
As the child witnessed the fight, police report Anderson threw the grease indiscriminately at the crowd, injuring the 12-year-old.
The incident happened August 2.
The child was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she was diagnosed with 2nd degree burns.
Anderson remains in Metro jail on charge of aggravated assault with a bond of $5,000.
