CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A woman was injured in a mobile home fire on Evans Road in Clarksville early Wednesday morning.

According to Clarksville Fire Chief Ray Williams, the woman placed an emergency call around 3:41 a.m. and told dispatchers her stove was one fire. Williams described the appliance as a large commercial oven for baking bread.

Firefighters were able to rescue the woman, who Williams said is possibly in her 50s, but a dog died in the fire.

The victim was treated at the scene and transported by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt Medical Center. Her identity and condition were not released.

The mobile home is considered a total loss due to the extent of the damage.

Chief Williams is currently looking for the woman’s son, Scott Murphy. He is asked to contact Clarksville Fire Dispatch at 931-645-7454.
