On the afternoon of Sept. 14, Clarksville Police were called to the home and found a 2-year-old child with a gunshot wound, according to previous reports.

Sometime in the three weeks prior, Gadson had left a loaded Smith & Wesson 45-caliber handgun in a bedroom accessible to the child, according to the indictment.

Her son, Kashton Gadson, found the gun, and he was shot in the face. His death was announced three days later.

Kamill Gadson was booked into Montgomery County Jail on Tuesday and released on bond Wednesday awaiting trial.
