CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Clarksville woman has been charged with child abuse and neglect after the child she was watching was found alone in the middle of the street.
According to an arrest warrant, officers found the child Tuesday around 10:46 a.m. standing in the road at the intersection of Central Avenue and Crossland Avenue. The child was barefoot and was wearing only a diaper, which was full of feces.
Police made contact with the child’s aunt, Tiffany Marchman, who said she was watching the girl while her sister was at work. She said she was asleep in the living room where she last saw the child.
Marchman was arrested and charged with child abuse and neglect. Her bond was set at $10,000.
