CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested the woman accused of hitting two pedestrians on Lafayette Road and fleeing the scene earlier this month.
Imec Almestica-Tisdale, 34, was taken into custody Wednesday at the County Courthouse, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien.
On the afternoon of Nov. 8, two people were walking a dog when they were hit by a white Chrysler 300 between Orleans and Darlene Drive, according to previous reports. The driver did not stop and fled the scene. Both victims suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital.
That night, Almestica-Tisdale called 911 and reported that her white Chrysler 300 had been stolen earlier in the day, giving a timeline prior to the crash. Investigators determined the report was false, according to previous reports.
Warrants were taken out on Almestica-Tindale for aggravated assault, duty to give information and render aid, leaving the scene of an accident with injury, no proof of insurance, and false reports.
Both victims have since been released from the hospital, Beaubien said.
This is still an ongoing investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator Crosby at 931-648-0656, ext. 5336.
