WOODLAWN, Tenn. – A Woodlawn woman was arrested Sunday after allegedly trying to stab her husband with a frog gig.
According to an arrest warrant, 45-year-old Lisa Dale Patrick was arguing with her husband when she grabbed a frog gig (a three-pointed enlarged fork on a broom handle) and attempted to stab her husband with it.
Her husband pulled the frog gig away from her and Patrick allegedly picked up a .22 caliber revolver and threatened to shoot him.
Patrick’s husband left to throw the gig outside and he said when he returned she had put away the handgun. As the argument continued, Patrick sprayed her husband in the neck and chest area with window cleaner, according to the warrant.
She then allegedly retrieved a shot gun while her husband locked himself in a bedroom to call 911.
Police said Patrick appeared to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time of her arrest.
She was charged with aggravated assault and booked into the Montgomery County Jail. Her bond was set at $15,000.
