CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A woman has been charged after allegedly hitting a man with her car while fleeing the scene of a shoplifting incident Oct. 13 in Clarksville.

According to a police report, two loss prevention officers for Sears attempted to stop Quanesia Hoskins, 20, and Dorothy Hoskins, 40, as they exited the store on suspicion of shoplifting.

One of the men said he identified himself to the suspects and said he needed to talk to them inside the store, but Dorothy Hoskins began pushing and punching him while the other woman ran to the car.

The man then got into his vehicle and parked it in front of the suspects’ vehicle while the other loss prevention officer tried to stop them. Both men said Quanesia Hoskins was driving and Dorothy Hoskins was in the passenger seat.

Quanesia Hoskins allegedly said, “I will run your ass over, I don’t give a (expletive),” before striking both men with her vehicle and fleeing the scene.

One of the officers was able to get the license plate from the vehicle.

Quanesia Hoskins was arrested Oct. 15 and charged with aggravated assault, leaving the scene of an accident, and theft. She was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on $35,000 bond.

No arrest records were available for Dorothy Hoskins.
