CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Clarksville woman was arrested after allegedly shooting a pellet gun at a private investigator.

An arrest warrant states that the investigator arrived at 53-year-old Mary Catizone’s home on Jon Dr. Wednesday around 8 p.m. to serve her some paperwork. When he arrived, he thought no one was home and sat in his car in the driveway to wait.

He then noticed the garage door move, and said Catizone stepped outside with a weapon and demanded to know what he was doing. The victim told her he was there to serve her paperwork, and said Catizone told him to leave because he was trespassing.

The man got out of his vehicle to explain, at which point Catizone raised her weapon and said “I will shoot.” The man said she cocked the weapon, raised it, and fired it. The investigator attempted to talk to her again, but she raised the pellet gun and fired directly at him two more times.

The man told police he threw the papers on the ground, told Catizone she was ‘still served’ and fled the scene in his vehicle.

Catizone was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Her bond was set at $10,000.
