CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A 65-year-old woman was killed in a crash Wednesday night in Clarksville.
Police said a 53-year-old man driving an F-350 pickup was stopped for a red light in the southbound lane of US-79N near Cracker Barrel Drive around 8 p.m. when, for an unknown reason, a 65-year-old woman driving southbound a Chevy Cavalier, traveling southbound, crashed into the back of the truck.
The woman died at the scene. Police believe she was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the truck was checked by medical personnel and released.
The crash is under investigation.
