CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A family of four from Wisconsin was in the truck that flipped on Interstate 24 Tuesday evening.

There were two adults – a 30-year-old male driver and a 27 year old female passenger – and two children – ages 2 and 5. Both children and the woman were injured, according to a preliminary report from Tennessee Highway Patrol obtained by Clarksville Now. The extent of their injuries has not been released.

Victims had to be extricated from the vehicle. At least one person was transported from the scene by helicopter.

At about 5:30 p.m., the 1999 Ford F350 was traveling eastbound in the left lane when traffic slowed near Exit 8, the report said. The driver tried to stop and swerved to the left, rotated to the right, overturned and struck a guardrail.

It appears the truck was pulling a trailer, which was in the wreckage at the scene, but that is not confirmed in the report.
