CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Members of the WKRN News 2 Weather Authority team paid a visit to Clarksville Wednesday and spoke at Austin Peay State University.
Meteorologist’s Danielle Breezy and Jared Plushnick with News 2 talked to those in attendance about their work and the importance of reporting weather to their viewers. They also shared important information about tornadoes and shared a number of tips on how to stay safe during severe weather.
Following the presentation, Krissy Hurley, Warning Coordination Meteorologist with the National Weather Service Office in Nashville spoke about her experiences with severe weather and tornadoes.
Hurley also conducted a storm spotter certification class for those who attended. Rodney Grimsley, Assistant Director of the Montgomery County Emergency management Agency talked about his work in the agency and responding to events of local severe weather.
