CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Police and emergency crews responded to a report of a possible drowning Tuesday, Aug. 27 around 8 a.m. at Liberty Park.

Clarksville Police spokeswoman Officer Natalie Hall said a woman reported seeing a person in the water who went beneath the surface. As of 10 a.m., crews were searching the river, but a body has not been found. A cadaver dog was brought in to attempt to catch any possible scent.
