CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Nashville has canceled the winter weather advisory, but conditions remain cold and wet in Clarksville.
About an inch of snow blanketed the area overnight.
Roads will remain slick and snow-covered with the possibility of black ice, so drivers should exercise caution when traveling.
Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing later in the afternoon.
Sam Herron with the National Weather Service in Nashville says we may be in for even more snow next week. “We are in a pattern that will remain cold with various disturbances coming across the region. Through the next week or so we’re going to look at several possible snow-producing systems,” he said.
It’s too early to tell how much snow we might get after the weekend, but there will be no break in the cold anytime soon.
