NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The state of Tennessee has declared a state of emergency in preparation for the winter storm expected to hit Wednesday.
Some areas in the mountains could see more than a foot of snow, while parts of the Cumberland Plateau may get three to six inches.
Meteorologist Darrell Massie with the National Weather Service in Nashville says Dickson and Nashville will likely be affected, but Clarksville will not feel the impact of the storm.
Massie said the most Clarksville can expect are flurries or a light dusting.
Many flights to and from Nashville International Airport have been cancelled or delayed. Check flights with Fly Nashville.
A break from the cold is in the near future, however. Temperatures will reach the upper 40s by Sunday, with a high of 57 predicted for Monday.
