CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The National Weather Service is forecasting high winds on Friday followed by possible weekend flooding.

“A big storm system comes in for late tonight all the way through Saturday and into Saturday evening with showers and thunderstorms and there may be a few strong storms,” said National Weather Service Meteorologist Sam Herron.

Storms may produce 2-3 inches of rain.

Highest flood potential is Saturday night.

Cooler temperatures will be back in the forecast with the rain expected to taper off by late in the day on Sunday.
