CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for Middle Tennessee, including Montgomery County through noon Wednesday.
Although snowfall has ended, hazardous travel conditions are expected to continue through Wednesday. Wind chill values will range from 0 to 10 below zero during the advisory period. Temperatures will be in the low single digits.
A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will combine to create low wind chills. Frost bite and hypothermia can occur within 30 minutes of exposure to cold air if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
Because freezing temperatures will persist, hazardous travel conditions will likely continue through Wednesday night. Temperatures are expected to creep above freezing on Thursday.
