CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – With gusts up to 45 mph expected across the area, a Wind Advisory has been issued for Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the National Weather Service advisory said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”

With that wind will come a chance of storms, at 50% Wednesday night for Clarksville.

  • Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of showers after 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 70. Windy, with a south wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph.
  • Wednesday night: A 50 percent chance of showers, mainly before 9pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 39. Windy, with a west southwest wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
  • Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly between 7am and 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 48. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
  • Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 30. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light in the evening.
  • Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 62. Light south wind becoming south southwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
  • Friday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 44. South wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
