Willie F. Wilson of Clarksville, TN, passed away on December 12, 2024.
Willie Fred began his earthly journey on Sunday, August 27, 1939, son to Isaac Wilson and Amanda Lee Jenkins-Wilson in Miami, Florida. His son, Keith Wilson and parents preceded him in death.
He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age and attended Community Chapel, Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Willie was educated in the Dade County Public School System where he graduated with the Class of 1956. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army where he spent 28 years of active-duty service to his country that earned his retirement. Throughout his service, he was awarded numerous medals and awards and attained the rank of Master Sergeant/E8. He furthered his education by taking courses at Austin Peay State University. He also enjoyed employment with PDI as a mechanic.
On August 6, 1960, Willie united in holy matrimony with Jean Arlene Hite, and they were the proud parents of six children.
He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed reading books, watching TV westerns, working on cars, doing household repairs and watching Tennessee Titans Football. All who knew and loved him will sorely miss his presence and smiling face.
On Thursday, December 12, 2024, Willie’s earthly journey ended peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.
He leaves precious memories to be cherished with his wife, Jean Wilson; daughters: Patrice Jessie, Angela Stevenson, both of Clarksville, TN and Kimberly Wilson, Severn, MD; sons: Ramon (Wendy) Wilson, Hopkinsville, KY and Alfred (Ruby) Wilson, Accokeek, MD; brother, Val Williams, Clarksville, TN; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing Thursday, December 19, 2024, 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at Foston Funeral Home with Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Foston Funeral Home. Interment with full military honors 9:00 a.m. Friday, December 20, 2024, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
