William Douglas Minton, 82, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at his residence.
William was born on September 21, 1932 in Montgomery County, TN to the late John Robert Minton and Livia Morgan Minton. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marvel McCloud Minton.
Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2015, at New Providence Church of Christ with Brother Tom Lynch and Brother Robert Ragan officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at the church.
William was a retired carpenter and member of New Providence Church of Christ.
William is survived by his two sons, Harold Minton of Memphis, TN and Ronald Minton of Spokane, WA; daughter, Michelle Minton of Clarksville, TN; brother, Lucian Minton of Joelton, TN; sister, Delores Davidson of Brentwood, TN; twelve grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
