William Martin Childress, 74, of Clarksville, TN, died Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center, in Clarksville.
He was born January 25, 1939 in St. Charles, MO to the late William T. Childress and Alda Schierding Childress.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 1 at 11:00 AM, at Grace Lutheran Church, with Rev. Larry Peters officiating.
Childress was a pastor at Grace Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Sprick Childress, of Clarksville; two sons, William T. Childress, of Gulfport, MS, and Brad (Lynne) Childress, of Nashville, TN; one brother, Tom Childress, of Edgewater, FL; and four grandchildren, Michael, William, Kyle, and Emma.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 2041 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37043.
