Funeral services for Mr. William Allen Edlin, age 94 of Cunningham, TN will be at noon on Tuesday December 9, 2014 at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Niles and Rev. Steven G. Lee officiating. Place of rest will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 8th at Taylor Funeral Home and on from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the Church. Those desiring memorials may be made to the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Mr. Edlin died Saturday December 6, 2014 at Centennial Medical Center. Born in Montgomery County, he was the son of the late Jones Barney and Birdie Harvey Edlin and he was preceded in death by his first wife of 60 years, Christine Epps Edlin and three brothers and one sister. Mr. Edlin has worked as a Carpenter, a Farmer and as a Government Employee at Fort Campbell. He was a long time member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Sue Griffin Edlin of Lyles; son, Allen Edlin (Helen) of Dickson; daughter, Billie Jean Edlin Davis (J.C.) of Cumberland Furnace; 4 grandchildren, Jeffrey Davis (Michelle) of Murfreesboro, Jennifer Walker (Brian) of Cumberland Furnace, Beth Martin (Travis) of Dickson, Jennie Butler (Matt) of Dickson; 13 great grandchildren, Rosa Hart (Richard) of Louisville; KY, Lydia Walker, Levi Walker (Ariel), Nehemiah Walker, Crysta Walker, Joey Walker all of Cumberland Furnace, Dillon Davis, Cadie Davis, Riley Davis all of Murfreesboro, Lacey Butler, Allen Butler, Jordan Martin, Patrick Martin all of Dickson; great great grandchild, J.C. Hart.
