William Dennis Vaughan, 71, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Gateway Medical Center.
Dennis was born on December 5, 1942 in Clarksville, TN to the late W.L. Vaughan and Mildred Chandler Vaughan. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Fulton Vaughan; daughter-in-law, Michelle Canaday Vaughan; and sister, Brenda Jean Vaughan.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Pastor Keith Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the funeral home.
Dennis was a Retired CPA with Conwood Corporation. He was presently working for Crisis Intervention Call Line. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville.
Dennis is survived by his son, Dennis Vaughan, Jr. of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Catherine (Todd) Evans of Clarksville, TN; two brothers, Jack (Pam) Vaughan of Omaha, NE and David (Jeff) Vaughan of Nashville, TN; two sisters, Marilyn (Tim) Chilcutt of Clarksville, TN and Joan Dickinson of Trenton, KY; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be William Vaughan, Evan Vaughan, Tim Chilcutt, Gary Shephard, Mike Mobley, and Len Rye. Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Ryan, Bobby Gee, Dr. Bill Prine, Chris Byrd, Gary Shephard Jr., Cody Chilcutt, John Shephard, and Jeff Soulier.
