William “Bill” M. Cloud, Jr., 72, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015, at his residence.
Bill was born on October 22, 1942 in Christian County, KY to the late William M. Cloud, Sr. and Mary Evelyn Lile Cloud.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2015, at Hilldale United Methodist Church with Rev. B.J. Brack and Rev. Vin Walkup officiating. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home.
Bill was a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association. His law career spanned 40 years, in private practice as well as serving as an Assistant District Attorney. One of his proudest career accomplishments was the formation of the Montgomery county Adult Drug Court. He was a charter member of Hilldale United Methodist Church and was a certified lay speaker. He served as Lay Leader of the Clarksville District. He served on the Tennessee Conference of United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Finance and Administration Team, chaired the Board of Trustees, and served on the Board of Camps and Retreats. He was a member of the TSSAA Football Officials Association for 37 years, past City Council member, adjunct professor at Austin Peay, alumni of Leadership Clarksville, and alumni of the Citizen’s Police Academy.
Bill is survived by his wife, Judy Jacobs Cloud of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Caryn Renee Cloud (Shea) Bickerstaff of Falmouth, ME; son, Eric Vincent (Brandy) Cloud of Shirley, MA; two brothers, Marshall (Jan) Cloud of Biloxi, MS and Logan (Sandra) Cloud of Bowling Green, KY; two sisters, Louise (Charlie) Parker of Russellville, KY and Cindy (Robert) Perigo of Clarksville, TN; and four grandchildren, Cayman Anderson Bickerstaff, Piper Chloe Bickerstaff, William Eric Cloud, and Mackenzie Lynne Cloud.
