William “Bill” Creed Hall, age 84, of Erin, TN, died Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Houston County Community Hospital.
He was born in Augusta, GA, to the late William C. Hall, Sr. and Dorothy Burns Hall. Bill was also preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Olive Hall.
Mr. Hall served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and In 1967 he was one of the first employees hired when the Montgomery County Ambulance Service formed in Clarksville, TN. In 1972 he received his EMT license. His national registered license number was 320 in the nation.
He was the first to drive the first “box style” medic unit in the state of Tennessee. He served many years with the ambulance service as an EMT and a supervisor. He retired in 1992 from the Montgomery County Emergency Medical Service.
Another “claim to fame” he has is during the 1990’s a call that he worked was featured on an episode of the TV show “Rescue 911” and he was featured in the show as well.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 22 at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Dr. Ted Denny officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. and on from noon until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Montgomery County EMS staff.
Bill is survived by his son, William “Bill” Hall (Tammy), of Erin, TN; sister, Francis (Robert) Beach, of Appling, GA; and three grandchildren, Douglas Creed Hall, Kaylee Andrews, and Chelsea Andrews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the William Hall Memorial Fund, at any US Bank location.
