William Bailey Gafford, 72, of Cumberland City, TN, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at his residence.
Bailey was born on July 30, 1943, in Stewart County, TN to the late Charles Clifton Gafford and Fannie May Milligan Gafford. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Gafford and Gene Gafford.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Carl Newberry officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Bailey was retired from TVA and a retired farmer. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was a member of Rose Valley United Methodist Church, Almenah Temple, VFW Dover Lodge, past Stewart County school board member, and past master charity mason with Lodge #370.
Bailey is survived by two sons, Ray Gafford of Cumberland City, TN and James Bailey (Becky) Gafford of Dover, TN; brother, Dorris Gafford of Cunningham, TN; and five grandchildren, McCall, John, Jayme Lynn, Anniston, and Riley Beth.
