CLARKSVILLE, TN –The Lambda Alpha Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. will host a community symposium titled “Why Should You Vote,” giving residents a chance to hear from local leaders and ask questions about issues affecting the community.
The panel will include state Rep. Ronnie Glynn and Montgomery County Commissioners Rashidah Leverett, Autumn Simmons and Jeremiah Walker, who will serve as moderator.
The event will be held at the North Branch Clarksville Library, 435 Jordan Road, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Oct. 9. Doors will open at 5 p.m.
Organizers said the goal of the symposium is to encourage civic engagement by informing residents about what is happening in their community and providing them with the opportunity to ask questions directly of their representatives.
