Whitney Rice Durham, age 43, of College Grove, TN passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Whitney was born July 11, 1978, in Clarksville, TN to Janet and Ernie Rice.
Mrs. Durham was the co-owner of 1852 Dance Studio and a realtor with the Layson Group of Keller-Williams Realty in Williamson County.
She was a national officer of Phi Mu Fraternity, the current President of College Grove Elementary school parent-teacher organization, past President of Jackson Service League, a past President of Jackson Cotillion, and she was a past Fitness instructor at Jackson Sport and Fitness. One of Whitney’s most proud accomplishments was being a founding member of “Up til Dawn” which supports St. Jude Children’s Hospital. She also enjoyed her time as a member of the University of Memphis Pom Squad. Whitney was also a student director at The University of Memphis and Christian Brothers University. Whitney was a member of The Williamson County Association of Realtors (WCAR).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, September 2, at 2 p.m., at Hilldale Baptist Church (2001 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37043), with Dr. Larry Robertson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, September 2, from 11 a.m. until the hour of service, at the church.
In addition to her parents, Whitney is survived by her Husband, Japeth Durham; Her son, Pierce Hall Durham; Sister, Heidi (Mike) Reed; Nieces, Carrigan and Kennedy Reed; In-Laws, Melanie Durham, Keith Herndon, Danny Durham, Sandy Durham.
