So, you have had to move before your home sold and now there are still things to do before you can put it on the market for sale.
There is painting that needs to be done, the carpets need cleaned, some minor repairs that need done and oh yes, the yard needs to be kept up. Who do you turn to?
When you are thinking about hiring an agent to sell your home these are things you need to take into consideration:
1. Are they willing to get you estimates and schedule the work?
2. Do they know different sub-contractors that can help?
3. Are they willing to keep you posted on each step as the work is done?
4. Are they there to double check on things and send you pictures of the work as it is being performed?
These may seem like minor issues but as a Selling Agent I can tell you they are very time consuming but very much worth the effort for my clients. Taking care of your home is a great responsibility and one that as a Selling Agent isn’t taken lightly.
All these things may not need to be done with every listing and that is great. Just keep it in mind for those times when you have moved, or maybe you had tenants in the house and now you are ready to sell. Every home is different, and every agent works differently so find the agent that works best for you and have an enjoyable time selling your home!
