CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The State Primary and Montgomery County General Election is coming up Aug. 1, with early voting starting July 12. On the ballot are primaries for Congress and the Tennessee General Assembly, plus local Clarksville-Montgomery County School Board elections.
To help voters with their decisions, Clarksville Now is holding forums for each contested race, giving candidates a chance to weigh in on the issues.

About the election
The State Primary and Montgomery County General Election will be Thursday, Aug. 1, with early voting July 12-27.
The voter registration deadline is July 2.
Winners of the state party primaries will face one another in the General Election on Nov. 5, which will also include the presidential election and City of Clarksville elections.
